In a surprising crossover event that breaks traditional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Disclosed

According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of prohibited rituals and terrifying transformations reverberate through the darkness." The narrative features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a hidden sect.

The questline focuses on "strange tests and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Transformations

The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a striking moment showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Extra Material

Players who finish the mission will receive an special katana in addition to several items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
